Work with the business in the preparation of Appropriation Requests (A/R) -Build cross functional and capability solution project team with well-established roles, responsibilities. Manage collaborative matrixed team to effectively implement Manufacturing 4.0 project objectives. -Communication: Conduct project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions. Provide periodic report and updates on project goals, accomplishments, challenges, budget, schedule and impacts to the stakeholders – sponsors, customers, steering teams and team members. Provide timely guidance to project team on business strategic directions. -Effectively implement all project phases with appropriate Engineering Excellence methodologies/tools from initiation, planning, implementation, control and close-out. -Write technical reports summarizing development, application, and validation of the technical advancement, performance results and impact of the project -Actively coach and develop individuals on project team. Ensure member assignments include capability and professional development objective. Provide timely recognition to project team members. Share expertise and knowledge to foster continuous improvement of the team in positive work environment. -60%+ travel to Corning Incorporated and partners locations on project assignments Education and Experience: -Minimum MS degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other STEM field of study. -Relevant professional experiences and a traceable background in computing, statistics and data analysis. -Minimum 10 years engineering experience in engineering, project management or manufacturing operation leadership positions. Required Skills: -Broad knowledge and understanding of Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 -Broad knowledge in commercial and open source analysis and visualization tools (e.g. R, Python, Power-BI ) and inworking data storing, archiving and retrieving from databases for analysis. -Ability to work independently under pressure to propose, prioritize and lead SMART Manufacturing strategy to projects execution with strong hands-on capability -Basic knowledge of process controls system architecture for manufacturing processes. -Basic knowledge of data sources for industrial operations (instrumentations, transducers, Laser and vision systems for charactering process parameters and products attributes). -Working knowledge of SCADA and MES solutions in operation and supply chain environment. -Experience in industrial network and systems with process data collection, controls and security in automated manufacturing environment Job Selling Points / Career Development Opportunities: -Engineering leader with close working relationships and collaboration with Science, technology, manufacturing, engineering, IT and supply chain to implement SMART Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 solutions to support all Corning businesses and operations. -Opportunity to work in global teams and build strong personal capability and cross-cultural awareness.
