Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervise Facility FMCS system which including PLC, HMI, iFix and database system management.
• Reasonable for Instrument selection and verification and maintenance in normal operation
• Creating control system related spare parts and maintenance plan.
• Promotes positive relationships and communicates effectively and courteously with coworkers, and outside plant associates
• Support operation team trouble shooting and provide training as needed.
• Define maintenance and operations strategy for emergency generator, oil/dry type transformer, LV, ACB and power distribution system.
• To implement PM activities and achieve PM performance.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance on plant equipment to include: operating adjustments and calibrations on equipment, basic mechanical and electrical work and cleaning, lubricating and replacing equipment parts

• Creating 5 years plan as control and low voltage system maintenance needs.
• System standard operation procedure(SOP) and standard operation setting (SOS) establishing
• Project management implementation in capital project
• Continuous improvement in FMCS and low voltage system.
• Troubleshooting material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective action.
• PLC and iFix programming / Alarms management in normal operation.
• Implements and documents material, process and/or equipment changes(Follow PCPD).
• Assures safety of operators and equipment and Complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Executes cost reduction and improvement (a-DMAIC) projects link plant top5 objectives.
• Energy platform management (Data analysis) and develop Facility process description and control loop

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

1. Familiar with the practice of equipment develop, design, select, purchase, start-up and debug
2. Read blueprints or technical diagrams
3. Knowledge of AB PLC, iFix and FMCS system integration
4. Knowledgeable of low voltage system structure and maintenance (380V)
5. Knowledge of VBA
6. Knowledge and understanding of the major facility systems.
7. Good programming language and network systems skills
8. Good English communication skills
9. Project management skill
10. Microsoft office (Word / Excel / power point)

Education

Required:

• Bachelor of Science and engineering (Electrical or automatic control engineering)

Desired:

• Master of Science and engineering (Electrical or automatic control engineering)

Experience

Required:

• 3~5 years of experience in the facility low voltage and control system
• 3~5 years of experienced AB PLC hardware and software maintenance
• 3~5 years of experienced iFix or HMI programming.
• High/Low voltage operating license (高压电工作业,低压电工作业)

Desired:

• Project management experience
• VBA programming capability
