Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead TPOCS document receiving/reviewing for P-FMEA/Process Flow Chart/ Control Plan/ process feasibility studies/, etc.
• TPOCS NPI products portfolio management and progress tracking via Corning methodology
• Work with Technology/Division/Plant Engineering/Quality/Supply chain/operation team and for new product qualification, pilot run and ramp-up to mass production
• Reduce manufacturing costs through material selection, design changes and optimal technology use
• Work with Division Engineering and QE team for PQA pilot/MSA/Process map/CSC discipline certification
• Ensure output progress in pilot phase, plan for resource, e.g. manpower or qualified parts, for pilot production
• Actively participate in project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions
• Effectively participate in all phases of project methodologies to include appropriate initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out elements
• Provide periodic project updates to project manager and functional management
• Share expertise and knowledge to foster continuous improvement of the organization (project team or functional unit).

Education & Experience：

• Engineering Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Engineering degree, in Mechanical, Electrical and Chemical/Materials science Engineering,
• Above 3~5 year experience in Engineering team with process improvement/cost reduction
• Above 2~3 year experience in NPI or new product transfer.

• Good problems solving and analytical capabilities (particularly statistical analysis).
