Purpose of the Position: The SNP role has ultimate accountability for inventory for assigned product lines; working with regional partners to ensure alignment of local stocking strategies and balanced inventory replenishment throughout the DC network. The SNP is a key participant and contributor to the Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP). The position is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all applicable master data related to Supply Planning, to achieve optimized supply plans. Day to Day Responsibilities: - Responsible for the supply and replenishment from NA DC to CN and Asia. - Work with regional planning manager and the global supply chain planning team to develop and optimize safety stock, control the slow-moving inventory, monitor the product inventory plan, as well as proactively address any issues for trading products or WJ made products. - Work closely with customer service, logistics, commercial team and the regional planning team to understand, respond and expedite per the demand changes, and key customer requirements. - Identify potential business impact issues and clearly communicate the issue to the management with solutions and action plan. - Be an active member of cross-functional teams focused on process improvement, cost reduction and supply chain issue resolution - Effectively communicate with stakeholders within Corning and work intensively with other departments (e.g. customer service, logistics, division planning) - Update KPIs on a regular level and take the initiative with data analysis to identify opportunities and improvement. - Develop inventory and safety stock targets to balance supply and demand with service targets - Proactively identify short term supply and demand gaps and propose solutions; proactively create and deliver appropriate communications to key internal stakeholders and trade partners - Develop and action allocation strategies with input from key stakeholders during supply shortages - Provide long term supply plans, as input into plant capacity and capital planning - Conduct product line capacity modeling/analysis - Assist monthly Supply Consensus meetings as part of the S&OP process, and work closely with the Production Planner and Plant Operations to drive alignment of supply plan and production plan, in order to ensure sufficient finished goods supply to meet world-wide demand - Work closely with regional distribution centers to establish regional inventory stocking levels that meet service targets, and align with global targets - Develop analyses and reports related to inventory level projections, recovery plans, capacity requirements, performance metrics, etc. as required - Utilize ERP and reporting systems to create inventory alert management tools to identify and address gaps for resolution
