Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Mechanical Engineer

Purpose of Position.

Mechanical design, creation, and modification of technical documentation of telecommunication’s network elements, using CAD systems.

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

• Mechanical design
• Design /modify parts using PTC Creo
• Creating engineering drawings based on Creo models according to current standards
• Creating technical documentation (specifications, materials, etc.)
• Modification of technical documentation, in particular 3D models and engineering drawings
• 与产品紧密合作引擎ers, product development engineers and/or technical leaders to identify customer requirements
• Implementation of process optimization and cost reduction into the design during documentation phase
• Work in project groups creating new telecommunication solutions
• Collaborate with other organizations to establish timelines and solve design problems
• Keep up to date on industry and engineering standards

1. Internal.Technology, Divisional and Manufacturing Engineering organizations.

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

1. Education.

• Education min. bachelor’s in engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electromechanic

2. Work Experience

-2-4 years of experience as a designer (no internship)

3. Competencies

• Good knowledge of CAD systems (2D and 3D)
• Experience in designing Sheetmetal/plastic components
• Ability to communicate with internal customers on technical issues
• Communicative English (including technical)
• Experience in engineering / technical work
• GD&T knowledge and Tolerance analysis - Preferably

4. Additional Skills.

• Teamwork, interpersonal skills, very good working time organization, self-reliance, good computer literacy
