This position will report solid-line to the EMEA Regional Security Manager, with dotted-lines to the Division Information Security Manager and the Plant Managers at the Poland sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage physical security for the Corning sites in Poland
  • Implement and manage information security plans, including training, process auditing, and culture development, validate the local security team’s consistent alignment with Corning Values
  • Develop and implement a site-specific physical security plan that assesses current threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps
  • Manage the contract security officer guardforce with general oversight of post orders, training, execution of responsibilities, and team-building
  • Support investigative matters with initial fact-finding and subsequent actions, through partnership with the CGS Operations team and Investigations team, Human Resources, other Staff groups, and facility leadership
  • Work with local, provincial, and national public sector agencies to build and maintain important relationships with law enforcement and private sector counterparts. Work with the CGS Technology Service team and the site Facilities manager
  • Work with the site to diagnose and reduce door alarm counts to leverage the access control system and strengthen guardforce response
  • Provide support to the plant IS Council, focusing on IS policies and procedures (camera, phone, education) and culture development
  • Support project leadership by reviewing job descriptions for IP sensitive information; educating management and staff on Information Security Best-Practices; developing gap analyses; managing significant suppliers’ IS compliance, including audits if necessary; and creating an access protection plan

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus 4-6 years’ experience in a security or leadership position
  • Intermediate to advanced fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • Experience working with common business technology platforms, alarm and video systems

  • Travel Requirements: Mszczonow (45%), Strykow (45%) & Warsaw (10%); initial and potential recurrent training in U.S.
  • Work Hours: Standard business hours (M-F), with flexibility to support a 24/7 operation as occasionally needed
