Day to Day Responsibilities:
• Establish cutting and grinding operation process and document process settings and revise as
conditions change.
• Lead experiments and performance improvement projects to achieve target goal, including product
quality, yield, uptime, lowest cost and capacity.
• Be the technical leader in the plant for cutting and grinding process. Work with equipment engineers
to optimize process/equipment interactions. Work with other process areas to identify process
interactions.
• Supports new product introductions through equipment installation, process certification,
documentation and training

• Weekend and shift coverage are requirement as needed.

Education & Experience:
• BS or higher with Engineering/Science Major. Physics, Precision machining, EE or Materials
engineering a plus.
• 5+ years working experience for BS, or 3+ for Master degree or above (Fresh graduates is also
acceptable if his/her major is glass machining or CNC equipment)
• Experience with glass machining a plus;
• Experience with CNC equipment design a plus;
• Experience with glass grinding wheels a plus;

Required Skills:
• Logic thinking and communication.
• Desire to fundamental understanding.
• Demonstrated ability to work with other engineers and operations leads to solve problems
• Strong analytical skills, including in Microsoft Excel, but also with statistical software. Ability to present
analysis including in PowerPoint.
• Conviction and passion for safety, cleanliness, process control and process discipline.
• Understand the CNC equipment or screw/drive control etc.

Desired Skills:
• Project management experience
• Understanding of equipment mechanical operations and control
• Understanding of DMAIC, Lean and Six-Sigma methods and tools
• Good oral and written communication skill, including in English
