Purpose of the Position:Provide generalist support across multiple areas of human resources within Corning Shared Services.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and on-going maintenance of talent development programs (including leadership development, next generation leaders, and internship program).
  • Conduct compensation analyses and provide recommendations as requested.
  • 支持招聘工作包括马naging requisitions in True Blue (HRIS), supporting scheduling/coordination with hiring managers, working with internal recruiting team to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process (on and off-boarding).
  • Drive cyclical HR processes for Corning Shared Services, including performance development and review (PD&R), annual salary review (ASR) and variable compensation planning.
  • Activities include: conducting function training, partnering with the internal communications specialist on administration of the communication plans, answering basic system and process questions from managers and employees, consolidating results in aggregate form and conducting basic analysis to identify where any variance exists.
  • Answers basic questions from employees and managers on managing leave of absence, payroll, and other miscellaneous questions. Educates employees on shared service and third-party vendor capabilities to increase use and benefits of these services.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives such as Climate Survey. Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works with HR Manager and leaders to identify actions for improvement.
  • Works in conjunction with business on creation/posting of organizational announcements for the function.
  • Partner with functional data steward(s) on reporting needs inclusive of monthly headcount reporting, PwC audit reports, HR dashboard metrics and others.
  • Coaches management in development and demonstration of leadership and management practices improve the employee experience.

Education & Experience:

  • Experience managing small-scale projects desired
  • Experience in the full life cycle of the recruiting process desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree (in relevant field) with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Computer Proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, etc.)
  • Experience working in fast-paced work environment (taking initiative, working independently & handling multiple priorities)
  • Work experience in administrative roles
  • Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
