Purpose of the Position:

This person will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the investor relations program. The primary focus will be managing messaging and communications for investor engagements. He/she will work closely with key corporate and business functions to develop messages and materials, and to ensure that investor communications of company performance and initiatives effectively reflect our strategy and current view.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Includes development of scripts, slide content, and graphical representation of information
  • Works collaboratively across functions (control, treasury, communications and strategy personnel) to deliver investment call materials and develop communications plans
    • Works in partnership with corporate communications on the Integrated Communications Plan, news releases and other public communication documents to ensure that investor communications of company performance and initiatives are in line with management’s view of the business and sufficiently communicate our strategy

  • Develop contacts within the company and investor community to maintain current information and credibility
  • Oversees/maintains CRM systems and responsible for ensuring accuracy of information and reports; extracting data from CRM and Bloomberg and performing analysis
  • Monitor and analyze perceptions of the investment community on an ongoing basis and provide regular feedback
  • Work with finance teams to analyze and interpret financial performance of the company in developing communications materials
  • Key member of targeting team for development of customized communications
  • Project involvement, including:
    • Quarterly earnings call preparations
    • IR Day (analyst day/annual investor meeting)
    • Integrated Communications Planning co-owner
    • Key Message Repository
    • Internal communication announcements

  • Can oversee and direct multi-faceted events, like offsite formal investor meetings
  • Can oversee and develop complex communications strategies and plans
  • Knowledge/interest in trading, investment methodologies
  • Statistical and analytical, including financial analysis:
    • Can analyze and respond to inquiries regarding unexpected changes in financial results
    • Interprets analyses by recognizing key trends across data sets and applies interpretations to develop insights into financial operations
    • Has necessary level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (e.g. greenbelt):
    • Routinely identifies ways to minimize variation in systems and execute processes that work more effectively, more efficiently, faster, or at a lower cost
    • Promotes organizational effectiveness through innovations and improvements in business processes using defined processes and tools.

Relational:

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • Presents information/analysis with a balanced point of view, carefully explaining critical assumptions
  • Able to organize presentations in a way that ensures the audience understands financial terminology, concepts, and the key message
    • Must be flexible and adapt to change quickly
    • Must be able to relate well to senior management
    • Must be assertive and able to work with minimal supervision
    • He/she must possess maturity, integrity, poise, and confidence

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical degree
  • Financial background
  • Experience writing and developing PowerPoint presentations and charts
  • Experience collaborating across functional areas
  • CPA or proven knowledge of US GAAP a plus
  • Wall Street/IR experience a plus
