Project involved with: -Participate in all stages of manufacturing processes that involved glass and ceramic finishing, melting, forming, annealing process. -Development and Engineering for new material research for cost effective, high performance in all Corning’s manufacturing systems and require collaboration with US counterparts, manufacturing and other related organization. -Need to initiate experiment planning, execution, data analysis, documentation and report. Education and Experience: -MSc Degree or Ph.D. in engineering or science field- Material, Chemical, Applied chemistry or Applied materials with strong analytical statistics and mathematics. -Experience in materials processing: Batching, Melting, Forming, Extrusion, Cutting etc. -Experience in development of ceramic and glass materials, engineering of the new materials or new applications, designing new material processes and migration to mass production. -Experience in materials defect understanding and defect characterization. Required Skills: -Fundamental understanding of glass, ceramic and glass ceramic physical properties and defect analysis / understanding skills. -Material phase transformation testing, analysis and experiment. -Operation on SEM, TEM, XRD, TGA and material analysis instruments. -Research on ceramic material characteristic, heat transfer, sintering and electric chemistry. -Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese Job Selling Points / Career Development Opportunities: -Corning is material innovation and manufacturing company.
