Purpose of the Position:

Lead Corning China GA team to support Corning’s business operation and growth in China.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Engage with central government (e.g. MOFCOM, NDRC, MIIT, etc.) to maintain relationship and arrange Corning leadership meetings with related Ministries ;
  • Engage with relevant departments of central government/ministries to resolve business issues and mitigate risks;
  • Engage with BDA/Beijing gov’t on specific issues and support business to work out a solution/risk mitigation plan.
  • Track and analyze government policies and regulatory development key to Corning’s businesses in China and advocate on Corning’s behalf;
  • Strengthen Corning’s high level relationship with Central and local governments

Education & Experience

  • Good relationship with Central government including NDRC, MOFCOM, and MIIT, and preferred to have good relationship with Beijing municipal government as well.
  • Have a good understanding of government structure and policy
  • Have at least three years leadership experience;
  • Share similar Corning values;
  • Excellent oral and written English and interpretation skills;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Good communication and coordination skills;
  • Bachelor degree required;
  • Working experience in MNCs required
